I finally tried a trick by adding something bright coloured so I shredded some carrots on top to attract his attention. It worked and he ate the greens!!!! He only ate 2...

    Cricket infestation?

That's what I thought. I did see some YouTube bids on how to breed crickets and the requirement seemed complex. I am still on a seek and destroy mission though.

    Cricket infestation?

A few crickets escaped as I was feeding my beardie. I found some that escaped but will the others that I could not find breed and infest my home? I bought the crickets from a large chain petstore, PetSmart.

    Zilla Douglas Fir with Eucalyptus

I would like to know people's take on this substrate http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2752173 . I was talking to pet store (reptile pets only) owner and he suggested using this. He said he uses it on his bearded dragons. He claims it's safe, easy to cleanup because it's very...

Question from a new beardie owner

Sorry I don't understand. What is the "highest point"? Is it until it hits the metal screen of the viv? That's just great for me. I have two UVB lamps that could possibly cause the same problem and all I see in the pet stores are the Repti-Glos.

Question from a new beardie owner

Got a few questions that is not clear to me: Under the Basking light area I have "rocks" (not really a rock but one of those flat staking "rocks"). What temperature do I use to determine the correct temperature? The temp of the "rocks" or the air under the Basking light? They differ. The rocks...
